and VCR. The fireplace provides warmth and a romantic
atmosphere on chilly days. |
 |
 |

hour of 9 am. On chilly days, the
fireplace
adds warmth.

The
Snuggery
The men would retire here after dinner for cigars and
brandy. The brandy is still provided, however, no cigars.
Decorated in a golf motif, enjoy the fire on cool days. A
cozy room in which to relax and read. |

The Hall Ceiling
The Mansion abounds with intricate woodwork. The hall
ceiling, done in walnut, is just one example of the
craftsmanship present throughout. |
|
The Hall Fireplace
The Mansion contains seven original fireplaces. All but
one are functional. The hall fireplace is an excellent
example of the unique tile surrounds, and fine mantles
present in many of the rooms.

The
Hat Rack
The unique hat rack, seat, and mirror is located in the
main hall at the bottom of the steps. The ladies and
gentlemen can check to make sure they are properly
attired. |
|
The
Call Box
Located in the kitchen, the call box would inform the
servants where they were required. It is still functional
today, indicating which doorbell has been rung. The first
floor rooms are also connected. Alas, no servants to
respond. |

The
Main Staircase
The main staircase is made of walnut. At the foot is an ornate newel post and lamp. The lamp, as were all the
lights in The Mansion were originally gas. Three stained
glass windows grace the staircase. At Christmas, a large
tree extends to the second floor.
