When wealthy businessman Major
W.F. Reynolds built his Mansion in 1885, its blend of Gothic, Italianate
and Queen Anne styles captured the essence of late Victorian eclectic exuberance.
The Major entertained Bellefonte's prominent gentlemen with a game of billiards
or brandy and cigars in the snuggery after dinner. Its interior of ornate
fireplaces, inlaid parquet floors, hand-carved staircase and fresco of
cherubs on a bedroom ceiling creates the perfect backdrop for this romantic
Bed & Breakfast.
