The Reynolds Mansion Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located 9 miles from State College, home to Penn State University.  We are also 4 miles off of I-80 in the historic Victorian town, Bellefonte, PA.  We like to say that we are half way to everywhere and we are directly in the center of the state.  Guests traveling from Chicago, Michigan, and Ohio find that Bellefonte, PA, is a great stopping point on the way to visiting family on the east coast.

Eat, Drink, and Shop

If you are into the wine/craft beer/spirits scene, Bellefonte has a lot to offer.  There are many cool new wineries, craft breweries, and distilleries that have all joined together to form the Central PA Tasting Trail Favorites are Happy Valley Brewery, RobinHood Brewery, Big Spring Spirits, Good Intent Cider, Elk Creek Cafe, Otto’s, and Seven Mountain Winery.  You can find a complete list on our Restaurants page. Shoppers will love walking into historic downtown Bellefonte for the afternoon.  Here you will find antique shops, quaint clothing stores, and our daughter’s unique pet shop, Bone Bar & Boutique.

Outdoor Paradise

Bellefonte is also home to world-class fly fishing. Spring Creek is known as an angler’s dream location and is steps from the Reynolds Mansion.  A favorite destination along the creek is Fisherman’s Paradise, which offers solitude and tons of wild and aggressive trout.

Outdoor activities abound with Bald Eagle State Park and Black Moshannon State Park nearby.  In addition to scenic kayaking, biking, and hiking, guests can enjoy fun festivals, such as Punkin’ Chunkin at Bald Eagle Lake.  Take in a beautiful view of State College after hiking up Mt. Nittany or go tubing at Tussey Mountain.  We are within a fifteen minute drive to all of these activities.

As you can see, the Reynolds Mansion will be your home away from home while visiting Centre County, PA.  There is so much to do during every season of the year.  Our location is ideal for outdoor activities or just sitting by a fire in the Snuggery reading a book on a snowy day.  After all, this is Happy Valley!
