Olympic Wrestling Trials Coming to State College

The Olympic Committee has chosen Penn State University’s Bryce Jordan Center as the venue to host the Olympic Wrestling Trials. The champions from these trials will become eligible to represent the United State in the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The Olympic Wrestling Trials are coming to State College, PA because The Bryce Jordan Center seats over 15,000 people. It is the largest arena between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.  And, the Penn State wrestling program is top in the nation.  Many of the Penn State matches are held in the Bryce Jordan Center during the year drawing huge local crowds.  Other wrestling matches are held at Rec Hall, which are typically sold out. Penn State, under the direction of head coach Cael Sanderson, has won eight of the last nine national titles and returns a strong line-up this year.  The Nittany Lions return a talented line-up which includes seven All-Americans. The Olympic Trials (Road to Tokyo) are set for April 4 and 5, 2020.  Tickets and ticket packages can be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center Website. Prices range from $49 – $399.
